Hennessey Architecture
Make good architecture. Design better places. Explore more possibilities.
Founded in the heart of the Upper Valley in Meriden, New Hampshire, Hennessey Architecture is deeply rooted in the landscape and heritage of New England. Operating out of an old brick house flanked by a barn and a neighboring farm, we draw daily inspiration from the timeless vernacular and natural beauty right outside our windows. Our practice is dedicated to crafting thoughtful, site-specific spaces, with a specialized focus on homes, housing solutions, and hospitality projects. We believe that whether we are designing a single-family retreat or a boutique gathering space, architecture should respond intimately to both its environment and the people who inhabit it.
The firm is led by founder Tim Hennessey, whose architectural journey is defined by a deep appreciation for his New England upbringing. After leaving the region to hone his craft at some of the country’s most prominent and forward-thinking practices—including Olson Kundig and Birdseye—Tim felt a strong calling to bring his diverse experience back home. Returning to his roots to establish this practice, he set out to merge high-caliber, site informed design with the quiet, unassuming beauty of the Northeast. Today, Tim channels that rich professional background into creating structures that are innovative, highly functional, and deeply connected to their local context.
